Help with Loading MPEG4 Player

I can not play MPEG4 Videos made by my Casio Exilim camera on my computer (I think, like me, it may be too old). I want to try it on my Axim XV51 and have tried to download the TCPMP player to try it. The problem is that I don't seem to be able to download the player to my PDA. I must be doing something stupid but can't work it out. How do I download a program to my PDA from the internet (or do I need to put it on the computer first. If so, How do I complete the process?) Any help gratefully received.

Did you install TCPMP via ActiveSync? Or CAB'd it on the PPC?

Installing Program

Hi.

thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I have no idea what you are talking about. I have not yet loaded any programs onto my PDA so do not know the process. If you could give me some tips I would be very grateful

Usually when you download programs for your PDA they come in either .exe file or .cab file.

If it is an exe file you just run it off your windows computer(but you need to install activesynch and have your pda connected to your computer). It will then detect that your pda is hooked up to your pc and install the software on it.

If it's a .cab file just copy it over to your pda (again you'll need to connect your pda to your pc, or you can also do this over wifi, or using a card reader).
Once you have done this just open file explorer on your pda and double click on the file and it will allow you to install the program.

Hi!

Thanks for the reply. I am going to bite the bullet and try upgrading to A12 and then I will have a go at loading the file.

Many thanks

make sure you follow the instructions exactly. I think there is good step by step on this site.
