I have some of flvs from google video, and youtube, how can i convert them to the correct format for vcd for free?

Ive tried to convert them using the flvconverter software, mpeg1, and the audio wont work, or i get choppy video.

What am i doing wrong?

I've encoded a couple of FLV's with it and it works pretty well.
