multimedia mayhem
I have a collection of wma and mp3 audio files that I have used for years on my axim on the Windows medial player. These files are spread through dozens of different folders on my hard drive. I also now have a couple of nanos so I live between iTunes and windows media on the desktop pc.
I just added a new hard drive that will be only for the media files. What is the best way to move all these files over to the new drive? Is it as simple as moving the files as you would any other .xls or .doc file or do I risk losing information (albums, album names, etc.)? | |||||||||

You wouldn't lose labelling information since this is part of the properties of the file, but if any of the files are linked to other files (e.g., DRM, album art), you may run into problems. To be safe, try copying (not cutting) the files first, then deleting the original if the copy works.
