Hi, I don't post very often, being more of an aximsite cruiser, but since Xmas have been looking to venture into the murky (for me) world of DVD ripping and encoding the output to my X50v.
I use my axim heavily for business use and have a few 4GB CF cards that house different apps and data etc.
After reading through various forums here, I downloaded DVD Decrypter and Window Media Encoder. Both pretty straight forward to use and both free...

The resultant test files I've done to my Axim a good, but not great.

My question is, rather than trying dozens of permutations of settings, has anyone got a view of what encoder settings give very good quality video and audio output.
Clearly I'm aware of the relationship between quality and file footprint size, but I'm keen to see what others have managed. I can dedicate a 4GB card for the resultant movie, which hopefully can get me stunning quality !!!!!

Try Fairuse wizzard, The lite version is free, and allows you to encode Avi vids up to 700mb, Any compression over 300mb results in fantastic movie files!!!
