I searched before posting and didn't find any references to orb software. Has anyone used this before?

I learned of this software through amdlive.com after getting a new computer for Christmas. This software is installed on your desktop and then you can stream your tvtuner, webcam, mp3's, photos, and access your documents remotely through a web client. It autosenses that I am accessing it from my Axim and has a website optimized for MS PIE and Opera Mobile. I do admit, I had difficulty using the .asx stream and media player but when I changed the settings to use the .pls stream and TCPMP it worked great.

I've been using it a couple of days now. It's been great to watch TV on my Axim from anywhere I have network access - the other room at my house to having it play on my desk at work, or catching a talk show at the coffee shop while sipping a latte.

The software is free. The site says they are paid through partnerships. www.orb.com

Yes, Orb has been discussed quite a few times before and is quite popular here. The reason (I think) you didn't find any posts in your search is because the word "Orb" is too small and small word searches don't return any results on the board.

Thank you. I'll try to do some better searching to find some of the threads. Although the software seems great, I'm a little concerned about security. As it worked with out me making any changes to my security software or my home router.
