Thanks! It worked this time. I think I was trying to save the image from Amazon's search results list, rather than going on to the actual product page.

Oops, spoke too soon. I just downloaded a lot of jpg's, but they're not showing up in TCPMP. I think I need more info on picture file properties limitations. According to irfanview, the files are currently 240 X 240, 170 or so KB.

Any ideas?

EDIT (for stupidity): I just realized that I need to include the folder.jpg in the files to "play" for it to show up. Doh!! How will they show up in a playlist?

I replied but the post was delayed because I am not past the 10 post limit. Hopefully a moderator will slip this one in soon. Here is a link explaining how to get the album art embedded into the music file itself via iTunes. You previously posted about iTunes music so I am assuming that is where you manage your library. Good luck!

There is a cool PC application that scans you PC's Media Player library and finds the album art. Once you find the art you want, you right click it, save as folder.jpg in the proper folder then it finds the next one.

And its free

Just to add my two-pennorth...

There are two ways that album art can be incorporated.

The first has been described above, i.e. a jpg image called Folder.jpg needs to be in the same folder (directory) as the rest of the .mp3 files. This is picked up by Windows Media Player.

TCPMP is slightly different, and seems to need the jpg image embedded in the .mp3 file as mp3 tag data - it won't pick up a separate image from elsewhere in the folder.

TCPMP also seems to be a bit picky on the type of jpg - there are three flavours of jpg file (at least) - baseline standard (used by most browsers), baseline optimised (a file with optimised colour and a slightly smaller file size) and progressive (displays a series of increasingly detailed versions of the image as it downloads) - and TCPMP only seems to like the baseline standard image.

The programs I use for these are Tag&Rename to embed images in multiple files at once, and Photoshop for resaving jpgs which 'don't work' in TCPMP as baseline standard format.

Hope this helps, cheers, Kronalias

Just to continue on Kronalias' post. If you decided to go with Coreplayer it does handle a jpg file being dropped into the directory containing the music file and named as "folder.jpg". It is also not too picky about the size. I had previously only been able to use smaller file sizes, but it displayed a 600x600 image for me when I dropped it into the directory as "folder.jpg". However with the same image imbedded in the ID3 tag it would not display it.

Also tj42 that is a nice app for finding album art.

That does sound like a cool program.
