You rename the cover jpeg file to folder.jpg and put it in the same folder as the album.

try another player, Mortplayer is a free one that support album art. TCPMP also support album art, you need to put & rename cover to folder.jpg.

But Id prefer commercial player like Coreplayer or pocket player.

[Coreplayer in SeVga mode]

The only time I had problems not seeing cover art was when the jpg was too big in size. I think Mortplaer has like a 300k limit for art file size.

same problem here. I've made playlists and they don't show artwork in Windows Media Player. I've tried putting artwork in the same folder under the same name as the foler. I tried several different size as well. Gosh not only WMP does not support syncing but it doesn't support artwork as well. pisses me off!!!

Just to clarify, you can name the folder anything you like (e.g., John Mayer Continuum). In that folder, for example, you then put all the mp3's that are in that album. Now, here's the important part. In that folder, you then place a jpg file with the album art for that folder, and you name it folder.jpg (not John Mayer Continuum.jpg).

"Mort told me that he cuts at 350 kByte and it has to be PNG or JPG but it although should work without showing the cover".

If you have M'soft Office installed there is an app under Microsoft Office Tools called the Microsoft Office Picture Manager. It allows you to resize pictures easlily.

Most of my album art are under 50KB and are at 500x500 resolution. I don't know what the upper limit is for the media players.

On the axim, you can resize the pics with xnview (freeware) or with resco (came with dell cd if you have an x51(v)). On the pc, I use adobe photoshop, but there are loads of pc freeware out there that will do basic photo editing.

If you don't want to bother with editing your photo, go to sites such as amazon.com and get the album art there.

How does one get the album art from Amazon? I tried to "Save image as ...", but it was a html file that irfanview couldn't open.

I just right click and copy then right click paste it into the itunes area for album art. Here is a link that discusses how to do it in iTunes. This method puts the image right into the track though by adding it to the id3 tag so your files will all get a bit larger. Some of the art work doesn't show up in certain players though so check it before you do all your tracks. I usually copy a bunch of different album images into a folder and then batch edit them to resize them all at once so I know they are all the right size.

The pics are in jpg. Click on the pic so that you get a better resolution pop-up. It shows as jpg for me when I right click on the image and then "save picture as".

For example, this links you to one at amazon for James Bond.

Don't know what else to say, but try again :)
