axim and divx movies.
i have a number of divx movies i want to put on my axim.
however, they are around 700 meg and was wondering if i need something like an ibm 1gig microdrive to store them on?. also wats the best divx software to view them on?. cheers , any help appreciated. | ||||

PocketMVP is probably the best player to use. Your best bet would be to convert your Divx files using VirtualDub and the guide listed in the multimedia forums. You should be able to get some to fit on a 128 MB flash card.

Yeah, those videos are probably 640x480 or higher, when the axims res is 320x240 so anything more then that is pointless, and a much larger/slower playing file.
Id buy a 512 mb CF card for around 120 dollars (could get it for a lot less if you look hard enougH), and you can get a 100 minute movie down to around 125 megs and it will be very watchable. | |||
