I was thinking of trying an amp, but that kind of defeats the portability. I'll have to try out those KSC-35's. I think I'll stick with my Rio for longer portable use.

Thank you very much! I tried PocketPlayer, and it works perfect. I did have to convert everything to MP3 so I could use it, but I had to upgrade my playlist anyway, it was all 128k files, so I was taking up like all my space. Thank you again, PocketPlayer works great!

MP3 Player

I think pocket music sucks. It locks up my Axim 300MZ machine every time i try to run it - and the ower gives no support to fix it. It should be free as far as Im concerned. That's what it's worth.

As far as headphones and MP3 playback - I had an Ipaq 3950 which had much better sound quality - I'm not sure why - maybe you guys can comment.

I have been using Koss Porta Pros for years and they give the best bass by far in this application. I bought the new Sensheimer (sp?) travel headphones for $50 recently - they fold and go in a hard case and they are great for portability but still not as punchy as the Porta Pros.

Well I do not know what is wrong with your handheld. It works perfectly for me on my 300mhz. You should try closing some programs. Anyway the only reason I use the MP3 is because we have a full Pro Logic sound system. I also use it with the system in our car. I very rarely use it with just headphones.

I am writing this on my Axim!!

I am doing a comparison between these two players and using some computer speakers and three different headphones. I hope to be done with it tomorrow and then post it asap.
