Whatever happend to Betaplayer...

It just struck me the other day that we haven't heard anything about Betaplayer for a while...

Betaplayer is, as far as I know, an Open source project based on the old TCPMP code base.

Now normally in Open source projects there is a huddle of people working away, posting updates on project sites, giving status reports etc.. But apart from www.betaplayer.com there really doesn't seem to be much open to the public eye...

Does anyone know what up on the Betaplayer front? Or has the everyone involved had a 'mysterious disappearance' ?
This week I have been mostly listening to..... Short cummings audio

I thought it just became Core Player and the beta went away. But then again I really have no idea what i'm babbling about.

There is supposed to be a Betaplayer, but only from the 1.3 or 1.4 Coreplayer codebase, and that's not likely to be any time soon... They're struggling to get 1.1 released at the moment, hopefully by the end of this month.

So, sometime there will be a Betaplayer, just don't expect it to be soon. Stick with TCPMP if you want betaplayer...

More recent developments in paper-based technology include improved ‘write-once’ update devices which use tiny rolling heads similar to mouse balls to deposit colored pigment.

The betaplayer logo looks better than the coreplayer one.

Is this the latest version? I believe I read somewhere here of a higher version number.

Should I go with version 0.72RC1 or 0.71?
