Another good software for free, although it does converting, is super.

I know it has nothing to do with what ur doing, but its great if ur working with videos. It converts to so many formats, and has many features for free! No trails, its just free forever...

Last time I tried that it seemed like a horrible excuse for a video tool. Or maybe I haven't delved too deeply in it. Can it export to standard formats? Can it make a DVD video?

I used the freeware AVI Split to cut some stuff down and it did a nice job the site also has other video tools.
