Hiya, can anyone tell me which music player offers the biggest music interface for the axim, preferably landscape so i can see it and press stuff while driving? and maybe skins too?
You are kidding right? I mean it is illegal to talk on cell phones in most area's now and you want to play with a music player? :bang: Best thing to do is create a play list from music you want to hear before you ride and start it before you take off. :approve:

there is a setting/skin in mort player the is labled car. It will not go into landscape but the display takes the whole screen. I have to agree with oditius though if you have to, use a playlist i just set mine to random and go with it.

Oditius is not going to like this but DAILY I drive to work with Pocketmusic on the Axim and my bluetooth mouse controlling the playback. It works great with On Course Navigator 5 and my CF GPS system. What can I say, I like multi-tasking. But the wife doesn't care for it much.

That picture in your avatar, is a baby having fun or screaming in pure terror as you multitask in the car? Sorry I ride a motorcycle most of the time and had to swerve out of the way because of some cager multitasking. It is hard enough for riders to get cage drivers to see us, we try louder pipes, but with the boom boxes, they can't hear us, so I use a headlight modulator, it helps. But if you think it is thrilling to have to swerve out of the way of another car with air-bags and steel. Sit on a motorcycle and see how even more thrilling it is when you surround the steel instead if it surrounding you. Other than that, have a nice day, I use 40iplay because it has a kewl reverb, pocket player has a better equalizer, so sometime I switch between the two. But neither seems big enough to use in a multitasking environment like the 3,000 lb automobile. :approve:
What ever happened to the distinguished car/van/truck music device/centre. Surely you can link your device to an up-to-date car stereo and restrict the use of your ax to when appropriate.

Did you mean a windows media player skin on a different player? or the biggest button skin on the windows media player?
Does anyone not like the windows media player? it's interface is nice but it's confusing to use. I cannot find an equalizer for it. plus it just doesn't let me view files like old winamp does. I don't like the playlist function, I like sorting my music into folders and just picking it out of folders.

you can do that with WMP.. open file from the library and you can play the folder.
I prefer WMP, just because it is already installed.. as long as it plays wma and mp3 who cares... as as far as equalizers, that is what the car stereo's eq is for.
