Too bad this isn't a cab file. Guess I will have to wait until tonight to check it out...

Nice find by the way!:approve:

Edit: Unless someone can extract the files and post it here. ;)

You can't watch videos on youtube with this. What you can do is watch videos that you have downloaded from youtube and transfered to your device.

SourceForge:
Quote:
It has two parts: 1. A program to download YouTube movie by PPC and PC. 2. A TCPMP plugin to play flv file directly on PPC (the plugin will never support CorePlayer)
Put the two .plg files into your TCMP folder. That's it, TCMP will now play .flv files. The other part of the download is a small 17K file called "YouTube.exe". Put this anywhere on your ppc, I put mine in "My Device" Now click on it and you will see what I have shown in the screenshot below. Enter the URL of the video into the box "Video ID" and you will download any video to your device.

Ehh can't you save vids from the Axim or do you have to port from the computer's browser? :headscrat

I'm using Opera Mobile & I couldn't find where to save the youtube vid. :p

I'm not sure what you mean. As far as I'm aware you use the app on the axim and download straight onto the device.

You can use the EXE file with the program to download videos - Opera Mobile 8.65 doesn't have a 'save to file' option for Flash objects, just as you can't do it in Firefox or IE without additioanl program or plugin support.

Will this plug let you watch videos from this site.

Can someone test this plug in with this site.
http://www.tv-links.co.uk/

I'm interested if I can watch videos streamed (not downloaded to ppc and watched later)

I can watch these videos streamed to my desktop and would like to watch
them on my ppc when traveling.

I have not found a program yet to do this.

thanks
Ken

You CANNOT watch them streaming with this player - it just downloads FLV files, as described above, for offline viewing using TCPMP and the plugin. If you want streaming videos using FLV, try Opera Mobile 8.65 instead.

Well, this is pretty cool. As one ot the last people in the world, apparently, who still is on dial-up at home, I haven't yet experienced You-Tube. Until tonight. Sitting at Panera Breadworks, with my Axim x51v, my Think Outside BT keyboard and mouse, I downloaded the plug-ins, downloaded the You-Tube downloader, downloaded the Jude "Unboxing the HTC Advantage" video, fired up TCPMP, and watched my first You Tube video. Worked splendidly. Many thanks, CaUcHy.

The x86 version works great too. I am using MPC to play the grabbed videos.
Did not tried the TCPMP plugin, yet.
