Mad Windows Media Player Issues...

Earlier today my WMP was running just fine, then tonight I went to launch it, it made like it was launching, then shut down. It says Windows Media Player across the top like normal, as well as the circular timer in the middle of the screen, but then it doesn't launch. I tried updating to 8, but that didn't seem to help either. I only installed one other thing today, and I uninstalled that, thinking it may have conflicted some how, but it's still not working. Any suggestion on how I should proceed?

You are not supposed to 'upgrade' the version of Media Player....2002 comes with the latest version of the player which is 8.5. Basically by installing version 8, you just downgraded the player.
Do a search in the forums by just typing in the word "recovering"...this should point you to some threads with solutions to your problem.
You might have to do a hard reset to get the Axim back to the way it was when it was shipped. But, I'm not sure.
Again, check the forums...there are posts for this very same question/problem.
