Mad Problem with getting video files to play.

Ok, I have a few short video clips I was going to try out on the axim. So I made a folder called clips in the CF card folder, and copied it in there. It is a mpeg and when I try to play it on the Ax, it says to open it with the program it was intended. So I tried opening it in WMP and it won't see it. When I try to play it from the CF card slot it does not even have the WMP symbol by it, so something is going on.

What do I do???

And what does it take to view PDF's, I put one on the CF and it won't recognize it, kind of like the video files.

BTW: My mp3's work ok.

Does PocketMVP play Mpegs? I thought it only played AVI format. I haven't really tried using it for Mpeg because AVI is smaller, but if PocketMVP turns out to not work for Mpgeg, Pocket TV is supposed to. I have never used it though, so I don't know how it works.

Well, I just tried PocketMVP, and when I try to play a video clip it locks up. So... I guess I find another program.

I've got both PMVP and P-TV on my Ax. P-TV is just for Mpeg's and does a good job. PMVP will play many formats (avi, mpeg, mp3, ogg).

I found that PMVP played mpeg's smoother, but you could over-run the cache if the file had too high of a fps. P-TV had no over-run problem but dropped frames more readily.

Oh. I never knew that PMVP played mpeg too. Now it is an even better program than I though it was! Man, watching movies on a PPC is so sweet!

Yeah, I really want to rip a couple movies. I don't have a DVD-ROM yet but as soon as I get one Lord of the Rings goes on an SD card (or two... :D )

I keep myself entertained with several music vids and CGI animated shorts.

Well, I got Pocket TV, and watched a file downloaded from Pocketmovies, and it was very jumpy,

I downloaded this one and it was almost unwatchable....I have basic....and MM2003....so maybe...I dunno.
