Conduits pocketplayer updated to 2.1

this is good news....site claims only a few fixes, but they are not listing the biggest improvement - sound quality...i reported it had problems with some variable bitrate mp3's a few weeks ago, well, this version handled them just as good as Withmp3, and ive only been tweaking the eq for a few min with a few songs, but sound quality is 99% of what Withmp3 is....

time to learn how to skin this thing....

I really like the program. I just wish it was about $5 less, but I still paid for it. I've always like the Shoutcast support and the great audio book support... :D

Is this a good player ? It's supporting ogg , and that's for me a good advantage over withmp3 ...
How is the sound quality compared to withmp3 ?

I'm constantly switching between withmp3 and Pocketplayer and Ican't make up my mind . My brothers says pocket sounds better , but I just don't know ...

I tried the pocketplayer demo a little while back and was very tempted to buy then but thought id hold out for wm 2003 and wmp 9 but since the big delay i think ill just buy it especially with the fixes.

Just downloaded Pocket Player 2.1 -- it's great! Much better than any of the other players I've tried. It has WMA and OGG support and a builtin equalizer, and everything seems to work. They claim it works under WM2003, as well.

Handango has it on sale for $14.95 now.

its very close....ide say its 95% as good as with mp3...way ahead of everything else besides withmp3....given all its features, its good enough for me to switch...that is, if i find its easy to skin....

pocket music's eq is not as good, and it has probs with some of my variable bitrate mp3's....and since withmp3 (and for the most part, pocketplayer 2.1) plays the same mp3's flawlessly, one can only assume that pocketmusics decoder has a few flaws....
