Player for .MOV files?

Is there a way to play MOV files on my axim? I heard there is a pockettv program that does it but it costs 40 bucks. I dont want to have to convert it to mpeg either, just a player that reads it. Does it exist? Thanks.

Doing a search in this forum for "Quicktime" resulted with this:

PQV http://www.bitbanksoftware.com/PQV.html

Note: it says "Ability to view certain AVI and MOV (QuickTime) video files. I wouldn't count on being able to play anything recent. Also the couple users who tried it said it either locked up or gave a memory error.

As with all other video formats - you're best off having something specifically designed to be played on your Pocket PC instead of relying on your Pocket PC to resize/resample a video that was intended for viewing on a desktop system.

Also, PocketTV is strictly for MPEG-1 videos, nothing else.

My Olympus digital camera, besides taking still pictures, can create short .mov files. Because of this I too needed an application that can play the .mov files.

Thanks to this forum I was referred to Pictpocket from Digisoft. It is not free, but relatively inexpensive. I think I paid $39 for it and they included a picture view application for my PC as well.
