Mp3 Editor?

Anyone know of a program to edit Mp3's? I just want to chop off the openings and closings of an Mp3 broadcast I download.
I know I can convert it to a wav and then back, but I'd like to cut out the middleman if possible.
Thanks

do a google search for "cool mp3 splitter." i think it's a two-wwek trial version.

for volume adjustments, look for "mp3 gain," it's free.
