Well WMP is being choosy and won't play a single .mp3 file I have. Meaning there is 1 certain file that it won't play, but it plays all the others I have. I'm running WMP 8.0 build 0103. WinamPAQ plays it just fine, but I have issues with the sound quality of that program. The .mp3 is titled "Andy" and can be found by scrolling down here.
It's the last one. If anyone can figure out why it's doing this, or maybe re-encode it so that it works and can get a copy to me, I'd be very grateful.
Pocket WMP will not play .mp3's, just Windows Media (.wma, .wmv). You need to use of several 3rd party apps for playing .mp3's. Use the "search" utlity to dig up some links, or check the download section.
It's true, Chriss. The WMP will play MP3 files. You can even check the Axim's help files on it.
hambalan- How did you get WMP 8.0 build 0103? The Axims originally have WMP 8.5 build 12177 already pre-installed in them?
There might be a problem with the Andy.mp3 file. But I have no way of checking yet. But I can find out as soon as I get home from work later.

If you installed the Windows Media Player Update off of Microsofts site that could have messed you up. Installing the update is actually 8.0 so it downgrades you ... Seems Dell shiped a newer version that what Microsoft offers on their site.
Unfortunatly the only way to correct the problem is to do a hard reset from what I've seen. I was one of those that applied the update and learned the hard way ...
Thank goodness, for syncing everything. The hard reset did restore my WMP, and a single sync later, I'm back to where I was 5 min ago. Now to see if the file works. :\
