I am looking for the appropriate (best) software that will allow me to converty my music cd's to mp3/wma format. I would then need a player to play them on my Axim.

If you don't want to spend too much and you have windows media player on your desktop, you can copy your audio CDs using WMP to wma format and your axim already has pocket WMP preinstalled that can play mp3, wma, wmv and asf files.

You can use Windows Media player to convert your cds to .wma and then transfer them to your PPC. The Axim comes with Windows Media Player installled (the pocket version) so you can use that to play the .wma files.

I found this software... its free and almost full featured!, rips from CD to ".mp3" files adjust the bitrate and the bitrate type, only one ad on the thing, its a banner ad. A real CPU hogger though! got a 1.0ghz and takes about 20 min per cd!
