windows media player
I read on an earlier forum that windows media player for the axim can play .asf files, but when i try to play it i can only see the picture and not the sound. Does anyone know of a program that can read these files or if this problem is solved with windows media player 9?

There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Look at the properties of the asf file on your desktop, make sure that they aren't encoded with ACLP.NET (something like that) or Voxware Metasound. If they are, you won't be able to here them on PPC2002. Don't know about PPC2003, haven't installed and probably won't.

I'm running PPC 2003 and also have the same problem with asf files, good video but no audio.
Had the same problem on my laptop that was fixed with a new codec patch but cannot find the same patch for Pocket PC - any ideas anyone? My asf files are encoded by my panasonic dvd recorder. Thanks Stuart. | |||||
