I was leaning towards purchasing pocket music for 20 bucks and the reason why im posting this is to ask people who allready purcased it, if it really is worth it. Does the bass boost really work with all bass turned up on the EQ with no distortion and what about the other features?

Worth it?... or Save your $$$?

Dont depend on softwre to make the Axim speaker sound better. It is terrible for music. It is great for beeps and buzzes.

Look more for features, funtions and ease of use and use a pair of headphones for listening.

Distortion with bass turned up all the way depends on the recording and volume of the music itself. I would not expect that BASS turned all the way up is going to thump like you hope.

it was worth the 20 bucks. having the presets on the EQ and the ability to save settings is nice. sounds fine when using $10 sony earplugs. never hooked it up to really nice speakers.

it is a piece of junk mono speaker not a subwoofer.

Push the bass up alot and you are begging for distortion.

No its not worth it, use one of the many free audio programs.

If bass matters to you, connect the axim to a decent set of headphones or spekers.

And if it REALLY matters to you, hook it up to a subwoofer

conduits pocket player is a better player.....and if your not looking for lots of features - just the best audio quality through the headphones, go with "WithMP3"

the eq's on all the ppc media programs are stupidly sensitive...you only need to move the sliders a fraction of the full travel...otherwise you will end up with a distorted mess....also, with the dell at least, its very sensitive to choice of headphones.....WithMp3 and a set of panasonics i have give the best over all sound, but if im at the gym ill use my sonys - which for some reason can throw out enough volume to make your ears blead....

i dont know why every1 assumes i want to use the speaker for music!, im not an idiot. yes sometimes i do use the speaker just for someone to listen to a short clip or maybe a movie, with the bass all the way down, but not to get thumping bass... LOL!

oh yo, dennis i see that you have a FM transmitter is that like where you can send music through radio waves to someones radio?... if to where do you get that thing ide love to have one of those, how does it work?

oh im definently going with "withMP3"! I like the style the simplicity and the 2 levels, no im not going to buy it!LOL still cheap i tell you what they didnt put any popups no no annoying stuff just 60 hr limit, alls you have to do is reinstall it and resets. LOL
