ahhh help cuting up vids

ok my ax is very cutty when playing videos, and very unstable!

what do you think it could be, i am playing them off my CF card i beleive its 20x read speed or maybe 30 alls i know is it said high speed.

or should i try overclocking my ax? its at 400mhz setting right now.

is there a freeware overclocking software somewhere out there?

oh another thing i was playing music videos bout 320X280 or something like that but the bitrate was 1900kb/s

this happens on every play i tried so far including the pocket mvp, wmv and that photo player that also plays vids forgot name.

Any help appreciated or other players

not entirely sure but check start-settings-system-power-processor. Mine is set at automatic and I never have issues like this. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. But, those are my settings and it works great. Maybe this doesn't have anything to do with it but, I thought I read it on here somewhere before (?).

1900kbit for your video stream is too high for your pocket pc - re-encode at around 200-300kbit using VirtualDub.

you can also downsample the audio stream (to, say 32bit stereo) because your axim doesn't produce that great-quality sound in the first place.

you can also try loading the movie right off of the RAM... i watch movies encoded at 320x240(ish) at 225kbps video off of my 256MB SD card perfectly.

When you start getting higher than 500kbps bitrate, you can plan on dropping frames. 1900kbps is way too high for a Pocket PC to handle. That's why we have these guides on re-encoding the video to something that it can handle.

ok does it work any better on a cf card?

i know my mmc card is to slow and still cut on the cf so i overclocked it to 488 and works lots better, but still cant run 1900 bitrate which i agreeis to high im just to lazy to change it and i dont put them on that much anyway

ok what i need to know is which cards are faster? mmc or cf cards or SD's

CF is faster than SD but at your bitrate - it won't matter. It isn't the memory xfer speed that is causing the problem, it's the fact that a Pocket PC's processor simply can't deal with that kind of bitrate.
