so ive been just sleeping, not really in to dling movies or other stuff on ppc's, in fact i had an old ppc called the casiopiea be-300 took me a year to find out there was a today prog for it instead of a little program menu at startup, LOL

Classic TV and Movies streamed to broadband users

Are these "clips" of tv shows and movies or the actual full show? If it is clips it seems pretty expensive...

Yeah, the free previews I posted are original preview clips for older content. But unlike other so called streaming sites, all the content is full length...if it's a classic TV show then it's the whole show. Same with the movies...including the downloadable MPEGS. A well kept secret...also unlike other sites, we add new content daily...at last count we have over 8,000 houes of entertainment at LikeTelevision.com

Seems sorta strange that these only play with Real Player tho...wouldn't put that on my Ax if someone paid me. Does anyone know why they only use Real Player?

The reason we used Real Player:

We started this site in late 1998...there was no Media Player from MS yet. By the time they released a product, we already had a sizable library. In essence, we used the tools we had at the time.

Now the reason I'm posting the info about LikeTelevision is the substantial MPEG download area, over 600 Titles!...Please don't ask me what you need to do to convert these to PPC format...ok, one clue...MS encoder...which is free. Eventually, the entire library will be available as downloads...probably when you can download a movie online in about 5 minutes...a few years off. At that point we hope to be in the sweet spot. We already have the largest broadband entertainment library on the planet. Don't let a little thing like Real's poor implementation of a mobile player hold you back. Remeber, technology is fleeting..good entertainment is not!
