Good MP3 Player for WM2003
What's a good one which works well with WM2003?
I have tried Winampq and that was flakey for me. I have read of several other good options for 2002 here as well but from what I have read they seem to all have issues with WM2003 (or at least did at some point for someone in the last several months). Anyone having good luck with one they'd like to recommend? Please don't recommend Media Player. ;-) Thanks.

Have you tried withMP3 yet? I don't have WM2003, but it is IMO the best MP3 player out there. They have a demo that lasts for 60 hours, so try it out if you haven't already.....let us know if it worked for you or not.

withMP3 does not work with WM2003. They are addressing this fact and resolving in the withmp3 V2 release but they state that this will not be available until the Fall.
Anyone here have WM2003 and listen to MP3s using anything other than Windows Media Player? What are your thoughts?

I just tried out GS Player and it's not too bad. It has good options for mapping hardware buttons. The playlist isn't that great though. If you organize your MP3's in folders under My Music, it won't find those files unless you use Find Files. Then it adds all your songs in the wrong order. It sounds pretty good though. The transitions between songs are smooth and it doesn't crackle that much.
Before, I had been using Pocket MVP for 2003 and it wasn't bad. The playlist editor is pretty good. The hardware button mapping is better than WMP. However, I found it crackles a bit and the transitions between songs slow. I think I'll still use it just because it can play movies as well.

Sarc, have you tried the gsgetfile.dll from the GSPlayer homepage? ( http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/gsp.htm ) Just place the DLL file (the Arm version) in the folder where you put GSPlayer. It allows you go to any file, not just the files that are in the immediate directory or one folder deep under My Documents or any storage cards. You can now browse through any folder on your Axim using GS Player. There will be some blocks/squares with the open file dialogue but that is probably just because the software is initially Japanese and the version of WM2003 that we would have does not support the display of Japanese characters. Hope this helps.
