Well with my new Axim basic on the way I wanted to encode DivX movies that I legally own. As a backup procedure of course :)

My question is, does anyone here have experience encoding DivX movies for the PDA? Any recommendations? I'm guessing that since a -decent- 700 MB DVD rip on the desktop is 720x480 (? or something like that), with handheld, 320x240 or lower can free a ton of space and make it fit on a 256 MB SD card.

At least thats my goal. To get whole DVD rips (~ 90 minute movies) onto a 256MB SD card that look good on my Axim basic model (300 MHz)

Depends on how you encode it, it should fit into a 256mb card
