WMP, Can't jump past 10 minutes

WMP 8.5
I am listing to tracks that are about 30 minutes each. I need to relisten to certain sections. I can move the slider back and forth between 0 and 10 minutes and all is fine but anything over 10 minutes will not work.

Running MP3 from CF II

I used to have that problem with long mp3's, so I converted them to WMA format and never had that problem again. I figured that WMP had a file size issue, as the MP3's I was playing were about 70 MB's, in WMA format it cut the file size by about half.

Thanks, I have never examined the properties of WMA.

I will try that but I found it uncanny that the breakpoint was at 10 minutes.
