Axim & Media Player Question
Do I save a significant amount of battery power when listening to MP3s on my Axim if I keep the backlight off? I would like to use my Axim on a plane trip and I do not have any need for an expensive iPod-like device. Anyone know the answer to this????
Thanks for the help. | |||||

how about trying it before u actually go on the journey? be prepared.
stack it up with Mp3s and tell media player to play em all......leave it running in the background while u work.. if it suddenly complains, u know the answer! best done, maybe when its not doing much else, -as will be on the plane (aprt from the odd game of Jawbreaker right? lol) | |||||

The screen backlight is one of the major battery drainers. So yes, if you're only going to listen to music, by all means map a button to turn the display off. The battery life will almost double with no display.

It' simple. Go to Win Media player and then hit TOOLS>SETTINGS>BUTTONS. You can then map a function to a button by choosing the function and the PRESSING the corresponding button you want to assign to that function. It was easier than I thought. I didnt even know this existed! Give it a try and let me kbnow how it worked for you!
