I am having problems getting media player to work through a proxy which requires authentication.

all i get is an error - file cannot be played.

if i try and access the same file bypassing the proxy it works fine.

The proxy settings are correct as i can access the net and get prompted for username and password.

There doesn't appear to be anything to set in MP.

Any ideas?
