How do I get Media Player 9 to play a video (.mpg) file? Unlike the full sized version it seems to insist you do everything via a playlist, but the playlist generator does not show my video, so I cannot select it! (grrrrr) How do I force it to see the file I want?

Just download Pocket TV to watch MPGs

Yep. Pocket TV as well as a few other apps will play MPeg videos. WMP 9 will not.

Open playlist, select 'Local Content' from the top dropdown. This should show you all the available playable stuff without creating a separate playlist. Select your mpg, tap the play arrow.
