Comics on PPC (if anyone cares)
I took me awhile but I finally figured it out.
There is presently no wonderful, shiny, simple form of comic viewing for the Pocket PC (by comics I mean .cbr and .cbz files). PDF Comic files also will not work(this really irked me). Stupid pocket acrobat! Finally it occurred to me to try individual pages in jpeg form... (acquired through P2P networks of course) At last... Success! Ipaq Image viewer opens each page up real nice. I can zoom and rotate and everything is crystal clear! For me, this is most excellent. All I need now is a location where some kind souls have already compiled each issue neatly into folders for me and I'll be all set(hunting for each page, foldering it, and then transferring it to my Ipaq 1945 will get tiresome). Hmmm.... I know you can convert CBR/CBZ to PDF and back again... perhaps if I could convert 'em to JPEG too...

I found a program that converts PDF files to JPG files!
I just converted the latest issue of Wizard to jpg and viewed it on my Pocket PC! The program converted the entire PDF file for me into nice jpg pages. I set it to plop them in a folder, I then passed the folder off to my Pocket PC. Sooo sweet. This bloodly gadget can do almost anything! (Note: PocketDivxEncoder will condense any video file to nice memory card friendly sizes!) Anyone know a way to convert CBR/CBZ files into PDF files? Or directly into JPG files? ![]()

Raanbraba,
Thanks for the valuable info. So now I know how to deal with the files I have tried to download for the name of "Elektra" on BitComet. Will try to work it out.

All you need to do is set your PC to view extensions of known filetypes (under the tools menu at the top of any open window) and change the extension CBR back to RAR or CBZ to ZIP, then just extract the files into a folder. Once you've done that, just move the folder onto your PDA with ActiveSync and view away. ![]()
