Playing Quicktime Video files on HP 2215

Is there a player that will support and play quicktime video files on my HP 2215?

I currently have Windows Media Player 9 and Pocket TV but they don't recognize the Quicktime files on my SD card.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

charris - welcome to the site

I deleted the post in the 221x forum as cross posting is not allowed under the forums rules.

With regard to quicktime files - have a look at this thread - HERE

I haven't tried it myself - let us know how you get on.

Thanks Rob - sorry about the cross posting issue - won't happen again.

I downloaded the trail version PictPocket which did work on a few Quicktime files, but not all of them. Now that I've deleted the trail version I have two new problems.

WMP 9 lost it's file association and the PictPocket can't be deleted from my start menu. Any ideas?

I've read where I may be stuck with the file association problem with WMP 9

I have PictPocket and it runs most my .mov files, granted not all of them but most!! They ought to develop a solid program to run .mov files properly. I strongly recommend you get programs like pocket mechanic that will assist you in effectively uninstalling leftovers from programs (registry included). As far as pictpocket being on the start menu, go to windows, start menu, programs and delete it from there, soft reset it and ready. as far as your file association in WMP9, your music files are have the funny lookin square right? that when pressed asks you what program it should open it with?? well, browse and go windows, program files, wmp and select the windows icon (that's the exe file) and it should now make the reassociation for your files.

good luck!!!

Please if I have made any mistakes in my suggestions, please correct where necessary

PM is a good programme but I find the uninstall module of SK Tools is the best one available at the moment - and there is a trial at the moment. (Link in MyPDA).

I performed a hard reset and that fixed all the problems, First time I had ever had to do that but luckily it didn't take long to reload the programs, themes, etc......

I'll check out PM ans SK tools futher.
