copying files to SD card
I have what may turn out to be a dumb question. I have several movies that I ripped to my computer. I am trying to copy them to my SD card on my h4155. I open the SD card on my device from my desktop, then drag and drop the movie file to the card. It starts to move the file, then about 25% into the copy, the progress bar goes blank, then starts over again.
This just keeps going on and on. Is this the correct way to copy a movie to an SD card. I am able to move all my other data with no problems. Are there file size limitations on what you can copy to the SD card? Any help would be appreciated.![]()

There should not have been file size limit. But have you made sure the file you are trying to copy is not bigger than the free space on the SD card?
A good idea to copy such a big file is to have a USB SD reader to connect to the PC instead of going through ActiveSync. As ActiveSync will constant checking on the format to see whether it needs to reformat/convert the file or not. It's OK for small size file transfer, not large multimedia file. USB reader doesn't cost much especially in the US. Good luck.

Help!!!
I purchased a pocket PC mainly to use as a movie player, (yes I know, what a waste
) and catch email while traveling. What is the best way to transfer movies to SD? from DVD, limewire type sites etc. And is it necessary to buy a converter?I would soooo appreciate help with this. In a perfect palm pc world I could find a numbered instruction outline, But ....

And in a perfect PPC world you can too, just tap your heels together 3 times & repeat after me "There MUST be such a site, there MUST be such a site, there MUST be such a site" POOOFFFFFF!!!!! (***Lots of smoke & sparkly things***)

No problem - feel free to ask for more help/advice if you need it (although I haven't actually done any DVD ripping to my PPC, as I have a portable DVD player, but the others here will help you
) | ||||
