how do i play videos

hi there just wondering how do i play videos on my ipaq 3850?
its got windows media player on there,is there a better program to use?and what format do i have to use i.e mpeg or something?its confusing me

any help would be greatly appreciated

You can watch mpeg divx xvid and wmv>(w/asf plugin)

WMP on the PPC only plays video in WMV format.

If you are referig to playing movies... I use SmartRipper to rip the DVD and then PocketDivxEncoder to encode them to AVI format. Pocket MVP is a desent player.

I haven't downloaded any software/apps for my rx3715 yet, but was looking to get an app that will let me play xvid/divx etc. If I d/l this, how do I install it to my iPAQ?

Have a look in mt MyPDA (link on the the left) at the "Installing, running and uninstalling" tutorial.

I also recommend that you check out a few of the other excellent tutorials.
