Thanks for sharing the info.
Though I don't care much for the monthly fee. If I was to pay for a monthly service it would be for wifi access.

Thanks for sharing that.
Although my 2215h is not listed. I have a wifi card- i suppose i can still access and watch tv- if i was in a cafe or hotspots that provides connection to the internet ? And it also states that i have to turn off any software/programs that identifies my PPC as IE 6.0.. (I have RegKing, and also PIEPlus- so i guess i have to revert to default?) I'll download the trial tonight when i get home from work E

Let me know if you get this working. I looked at their site and it didn't appear that we could use the 2215 with a WiFi connection. If it works, I would be very interested. Thanks

V-Man,
Well, I went to the Smartvideo website and went to its "Trial Offer". Lots of disclaimers! (the usual). It then will take you to a page where you can download to your PPC (in this case, although my device was not listed-2215, i went ahead and clicked on "instructions to download to your mobile device" Followed the instructions (Basically, i went to the smart tv website on my PPC's IE. And from there, it gave me an option to 'download' to device. Once downloaded, went to the programs menu and clicked on SmartVideo. It will take you to some disclaimer pages, and will ask for your home phone and email (which is explained in one of the disclaimers why they need this). The 'service provider' dropdown list, i left it at 'unknown' since i do not subscribe to any of those (i have tmobile- but basic cell service only... for now, switching carriers) Then it will take you to its menu of trial lists of programs you can watch!!! By the way, before i started the program, i switched my PIEplus to default IE4, otherwise it will give you an error. There are limited selections for trial offer. The Weather Ch., FOXSports Network, MSNBC,CNBC, etc. As usual, it will open up on WMP like a usual 'stream' format. Small screen on portrait, but can be switched to full screen on landscape. Quality is acceptable, smooth, except for some high detaile screen or high action - where it gets fuzzy or pixely-but that's no surprise. Basically, IT WORKED!! Now , i want to read further more about this and see what kind of service/channel are offered. E

I also tried this out on my hp 2215 and it works pretty good. I am using the trail verison right now. The picture isn't anything to rave about but for not having any cable in my apartment, watching the news live on my pocket pc is pretty damn cool. I'm tempted to try out a month out on the pay service. I would enjoy jumping on hotspots while at a cafe or something and catching the news on msnbc. Anyone have any experience with the pay services?

What is the fee listing (not just cuz I'm lazy, saves everyone from having to go there to see)?
I'll stick to watching the TV that's streaming from my place. Can't change the chanel easily, but it's free.

> Basic Service - $12.95/month
> Premium Service* - +$4.95/month Granted it is a bit much, but it works well and has a fair amount of decent channels When streaming from your own computer you're only able to watch it while on your own network right? or can you create a online stream of video that you can access anywhere while connected to an access point?

There's a tutorial that you can set up to watch your 'streamed tv' from any access point-- see Watch TV on your Ipaq..(ppc)
I've been having issues w/ my AIW9600 on my PC that i cannot get a sound when streaming TV from the desktop.. I can however get the picture- very clear!... E
