have you tried encoding at full framerate with dr divx? Just asking because I can do encodes with vdub at full framerate and while I do get some dropped frames, I still can get an average fps of 24 or so (on a 25 fps movie).

I have tried using full frame rate, but it does get choppy sometimes, especially during action scenes. I really can't notice a difference between 15 and 30 FPS (I must not have a quick eye), but I can tell when there is some choppy video, so I just cut the FPS in half every time.
