Hi, has anyone tried the Arkon SF 120 ( or SF 121 ) or the irock! FM transmitters. I have a 256MB CF card loaded with music and I want to be able to play the music over the FM radio in my wife's car because she does not have a cd player.
I have looked at the webpages for both products and searched the net for reviews but I wanted to hear some feedback from peolpe in these forums.

Arkon is at http://www.arkon.com/sf.html
irock! ia at https://www.myirock.com/default.asp

TechTV has a review where they don't care that much for the irock!.
I would appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks.

Hmm, that first one is only 25 bucks, and seems pretty cool, especially if you only have a fm radio, or a fm radio with a cd player, because if you have a tape deck you can get a cd-player to tape adapter for it cheaper, but otherwise it works like my cd changer in my car, thru the fm tuner, pretty cool, I dont think anyone here has one of these products tho.

I tried it, didn't like it too much, too much static! I had to constantly adjust the station setting especially when you're driving to different area and now the FM channel pick up a strong broadcast station. I'm using a casette adapter now much better performance!

Don't be so cheap. Get your wife a CD player in her car. :)

I just use my Axim with a headphone-tape adapter that came with a portable CD player. One end goes into the headphone jack and the other end is a 'cassette' that goes into the cassette player. Voila, built in MP3 player. Cheap and works like a charm.

Thanks to all for the feedback, I think I will go with the cassette option.

TSB8C : ok, ok. I bougt her an Axim with a 256 MB CF card rather than a CD Walkman, that should count for something! It's an old car I have been trying to get her to sell for a while so I'm not about to dump good $$ into a cd player for it :)

Well, if you got the Axim for HER then that definitely does count.

I'm using the Axim for my audiobooks from Audible.com. I have two cassette-2-cd adapters from Audible.Com, and two cars with CD/Cassette Players. In one car, I can use the CDs I burn, but the cassette adapter keeps ejecting. In the other car, the cassett Eadapter works,
