no audio on playing back DVDs

Hi. I am having a problem with audio playback on DVDs on my Ipaq 4150. Using the very helpful DVD tutorial on this site by Michael Smith, I was able to copy DVDs to my Ipaq 4150 (pocketpc2003); Basically, I ripped the DVD using DVDShrink and encoded the resultant VOB file to AVI (I think it was AVI anyway) using PocketDivxEncoder. When I played it in Betaplayer or MVPlayer, the video playback was fine but there was no audio. Please could anyone offer any suggestions as to what the problem might be. It would be much appreciated.

use Fairuse LE. it is a free program that does the rip/conversion all in one step.

Thanks for the advice. I might give it a try. But can anyone tell me what the audio problem might be? I'm getting an error message "audio codec 2000 not found" in Betaplayer, if that helps.Incidentally the encoded file plays back fine on the laptop.
