Mp3 Software
im going away in about 4 hours, and not having a working mp3 player i am hoping to take an ipaq with music on to listen to with me, only problem being the only way i have to get things on to the thing is through a card, the active sync doesn't work, does anyone know of a freeware or trial version mp3 player that i can install using the memory card? fixing active sync is not an option as all avenues have already been researched. Many thanks in anticipation, chris harkness.

Hey, welcome to the site.
The only way I can see it working is if you can find a .cab version of some mp3 software, transfer the .cab file to your card and then install the program from your card. .cab files are self-extracting files that install PPC software from inside the PPC as opposed to from your PC. Here is a link to a freeware Multimedia section. If you find a program transfer the .cab file. You may also want to grab a little freeware app called cabinstl, there's a link in MyPDA to the left. cabinstl allows you to choose where the program is installed on your device(MM, File Store, etc.) | ||||
