This is fairuse.

I have the same question as psionandy. About the only improvement I can think of to Fairuse would be speed.

It's a wonderful bit of software that will rip DVDs into Divx format to allow you to play them on PCs, Ipaqs, Axims and now Palms.

http://www.fairusewizard.com/

I use Betaplayer on my Axim to play them back. One of the features I really like about fairuse is that you can use it in idiot mode, or you can tweak the settings to your hearts content.

I also like the way you can set the final file size, and adjust the quality so that it will fit on your removeable card.

(Try a search on ipaqhq or aximsite for fairuse)

The PSP option is th most appealing to me, I will give this one a shot. The price is unbelieveble considering te others usually cost $25 or $30.

The Lite version of FairUse is FREE, but limits the final file size to 700 megs or less. Since I am putting these movies on my SD card or CF microdrive, I usually set the file size to about 500 megs. Right now, I only have 3 movies on my iPaq. FairUse is great, but I agree it needs some tweaking to get the speed to convert a movie considerably shorter.
