Looking for *Free* PPC music player

I've seen lots of free ones so far, but none that are capable of playing both MP3 AND WMA music files. Is there such a thing.

Does anyone know of a music player for my iPAQ hx2415 that will play both MP3 and WMA files and have a way of creating a playlist on demand?

I'd sure appreciate it if someone would turn me on to one, theres gotta be a free one out there somewhere.

Thanks,
Adam

Windows Media player plays both wma and MP3 and it's already on your unit! If you ahve the Plus! Digital media package on your PC you can even sync playlists.

I decond GSPlayer, you can't go wrong with it, stable, quick load and close and the most important bit, it works.
My "My PDA" now updated with hints and tips including a ROM fix for the RX3700 series and installing Transport Tycoon onto your PDA.

The problem with media player is that you can't have the music on a subfolder on a storage card. Pain in the butt.

Am I misunderstanding something?
On my SD card, I have a folder named "Music".
Within that folder I have other folders named after the genre of the music.

Example:
...SDcard/Music/Country/GeorgeStrait.wma

Now, that includes a folder on the SD card, and a sub-folder within the Music folder.
So, Media Player CAN have sub-folders

WMP10 I think has such increased functionality. David, do you have WMP10? Based on my experience, I *think* the original messager is running WM9, but I'm only guessing here.

It seems no matter what WMP does, TCPMP will still do it better!

You're surprised?

Microsoft only does things up to half-par. After that, they leave it to third parties to come up with better.

Media player, firewall (for desktop), Office Productivity Suite on handhelds, ... the list goes on.

In any case, back to the original question here. TCPMP is also a great application for doing this. GS Player too. Both are frequently updated, and improved. So keep an eye on them. They're both worth their install-weight in golden bits and bytes.
