ok ..is it possible to play a song on betaplayer exit out and do other things on my pocket pc without the song just stopping.. I wish they had a minimize feature so i can still listen to music.. i also wish they had a search wizard built in for searching for songs to put in the playlist..one by one is killing me. my main question is .. is there a way to minimize betaplayer so that i can still listen to music and do other things at the same time?

If you have the PDA with no software but Betaplayer then when you press the close button it will minimise anyway, if you have Wisbar or Pocket Plus, Magic Button, etc... then the normal thing is to gesture downwards on the close button to make it minimise. This works for me no problems.

To add folders and not just one file at a time

File> Open File> Navigate to the folder with all of you music in and before opening that folder click the Dir button which is just to the left of the input button. This will allow you to select an entire folder and will add all the files within that folder.
