Mpeg files playing on HP4700 ?

I am a newbie as far as the ppc is concerned. I want to play a video file (mpeg) on my ipaq 4700. I copied this file from my desktop to my ppc using active sync. How do I get this video on the move.
When I tap on it in the file explorer I get the message that I have to open it from within the apllication. On the desktop I can play this with win. mediaplayer. I see wmp on my ppc but can not open the mpeg file with it.
Can someone help me with this?

Media Player on the PPC will not play mpeg files. The desktop version will, as it has many codecs that are needed to play different file formats.

You'll need a player that supports mpg/mpeg.

TCPMP

GSplayer

Those two are the most popular players I believe.
And both are free
