Exclamation Movies on an Axim?

Hello, helpful many.
My 400MHZ Advanced arrives next week, and I would love to know how you watch movies on this thing. Clearly, you need extra memory, that part I get. The following questions, though...

1. Where do you get the software to watch movies?
2. Where do you get the movies?

I have a home pc, but no dvd burner, if that is what is required.

Thanks a million for your help!!

Startir

Software - Comes with the Axim (Windows Media Player) - that is of course, for only WMV (windows movie format)

Movies - Buy them, and encode them to WMV format ... many guides around these boards, check the multimedia forum for more

Movie software

I guess the biggest question I have is, how do you get movies in the Windows format?

Or, if using a DIVX player on the Axim, where do I get movies in that format?

thanks!

There is a tutorial on here...http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...eadid=3692....

that should help you with DivX, and also I have a prog called TMPgenc 1.1 that converts files into M-peg for Axim...i just converted my favourite 'ER' episode! 89megs for an 50min show, great quality!

You may need a DVD-ROM drive...which are dirt cheap now-a days. You need this for the program to recognize the DVD files I THINK, I am not 100% sure I never tried with a standard drive...
