Hi All,
I have been unable to get WMP (either ver. 9 or 10 ) to play some mpegs downloaded and stored on my memory card. I get a message saying :
"There is no application associated with "(file name)". Run the application first, then open the file from within the application."
So, of course I have tried to find the file from within WMP, but it won't show up anywhere using all the options in the Menu drop-down, or the playlists or anything else I've tried. Anyone have any ideas?

wmp10 doesn't play mpeg, it only plays wmv (wonderful microsoft "openness"). I ran into the same problem when I first got my PPC. There are a number of free players that, quite frankly, blow the doors off of wmp10. Take a look around and you will see a number of threads on this site about it.

Before everyone jumps in and says it, let me be the first: go get tcpmp

This is the best of the PPC players I have tried and everyone else raves about it as well. You can research all of them (did so myself), but this is probably where you will end up anyways.

Forget WMP - install this instead:

It's the best media player out there, and it's free!
