Playing MP3 from server

I'm trying to play some MP3 on my PPC that are on my server's hard drive. I am connecting to the server via 802.11b. I can see the the files but they will not play. I am running 2003 and trying to use Windows Media 9.....Am I missing something?

You can see the files where? ..
if you see them through File Explorer,
and are trying to run them from there..(double tap..)
try
using something like Total Comander(free),
browsing to the file then double tapping..

if you see them through WMPlayer, then
im not sure why they wouldnt play....

Media Player, does not support MP3,
only the Windows Media Format (WMF)
(correct me if i'm wrong)

Try PocketMusic (by PocketMind),
http://www.pocketmind.com/pocketmusic.htm

This program ca play Mp3.
Good luck

Ok. Windows Media Player does play MP3's and WMA files. (not always very well mind you)

My setup for just this situation:

PocketMusic (better player than WMP) and Netrunner (to map the drive on the pc and allow you to bring the files into a playlist). Both are free and work great.

Uh, I wonder what this one does...

Downloaded PocketMusic and it did fix the stuttering problem I was having with WiFi audio, but I have to ask...is there a help file for PM somewhere that I'm missing? There are about a dozen buttons so small in PM that it's impossible to read what their functions are. I suppose I can just start tapping until I find out what they do, but there must be a help file somewhere (it's not on Pocketmind's site)!
