I might not be understanding your question correctly, but the key mapping option in PocketMusic is to map the keys once the program is running (i.e. you can push a button to play, pause, change tracks, toggle display on/off, etc...). To accomplish this, in Hardware Key Mappings highlight the action and press the key you want to use.

If you want to map a key to START PocketMusic from the Today screen, then you go though Start, Settings, Buttons.

Sorry, not sure why it isn't working. I have mapped my buttons to various tasks. Is your "Use when in background" checked?

Same Deal

I am having the same problem that you are having. Button Mapping does not work. I can unmap buttons but am not able to map them. This is on PocketMusic 2.5, Windows 2003 op-system, Axim X5-400. I would be most interensted in your solution if you found one.

Best,
WF
