TCPMP or Coreplayer? VGA support?

Hey guys,

which player should I get? The free TCPMP or the core player?
Do they both support VGA?

Thanks,

sanchez

I would go for TCPMP it is free and works for everything. It also supports VGA and Subtitles.

TCPMP for now, as it is indeed free. Since it costs nothing, you can get an idea of whether or not it meets your expectations/needs and if not give Coreplayer a try. If there is a trial version you could install both and see which you really prefer.

No demo for CorePlayer yet - that won't be out till like 1.2 or something. I use Core for video playing, due to the efficient AAC/h.264 support.

If you dont look at the price, so no matter if its free or not. I want to have one good media solution and I am willing to pay for it.

Just in comparison: CorePlayer Vs. TCPMP

Which one is better? Are there skins? Which works better with X51v? Which runs smoother and supports more formats?

Thanks. :)

I use TCPMP for video watching and music playing and works great, handles almost any file type! It doesn't have any skins but if I am using for music or a podcast I keep the screen turned off to save battery any way! And its free.

- No skins for either

- For Streaming, stick with TCPMP for now.

- Core supports more formats, so long as you're willing to ditch AC3 for now, along with subtitles.

- Both work great with the x51v. Core has the advantage of licensed codecs for h.264 and AAC.

- AVCRP does not work with TCPMP and the x51v - it works fine with CorePlayer 1.1.1

If you want free, stick with TCPMP for now and wait for Core to have a demo. If you're willing to jump in and wait for a few features (they're improving Podcast features, streaming, etc), then you can get CorePlayer.
