I am new to the Axim X5 and everything that goes along with it...

I have a bunch of DivX AVI's that I have and would like to be able to play them while on the plane, during business trips...

I have tried both "Sompy Player" as well as "Pocket DivX .8" with Sompy Player working so-so, but bogged down and Pocket DivX says that I can't reconize the files...

Is there a siple way to either fix up Sompy Player or find some DivX player to use on my Axim?

I have a X5, running PPC2003, have 32MB of RAM & internal memory, plus have a 2 GB SD-card...any help will be greatly appreciated!

TCPMP free player will pla avi. extension and Divx files.

Yeah, try TCPMP. I ripped some DVDs to DivX Avi format and they played just fine on TCPMP on my IPAQ hx2415.
