How to encode to DIVX from DVD
I know it's kinda off topic since it's not PPC related (in a way), but it seems that there's a lot of DIVX encoding experts here, I'll like to seek their advises.

You see, currently I'd like to encode my personal DVDs to PPC DIVX formats for me to watch them on the road. However, the current method I'm using now requires me to encode it into PC format then I need to re-encode them into PPC format using VirtualDub.

Main point is, I had downloaded a couple of DIVX movies from the web before (Those I can't find in DVD in my country) and found that their size is around 700+MB and in 720x480 size. I tried to encode it myself (using DIVX 5.05 codec) and I did it with a size of at least 1.6GB with a lousier quality than those in 700+MB versions. I wanna keep the PC format DIVX for my future personal use but wanna keep it at 700+MB. Anyone here can help me with this?

Thanks alot!
